Something amazing happens when your having a second or third or fifth baby.
Don’t get me wrong, something also happens with your first. The wonder, the anticipation, the nerves and the fear (yes, the fear, I was petrified about the whole process, let alone looking after a newborn afterwards).
But when you have a child already, there is a different feeling. You are excited, and anticipate what the future holds. But you also have this sense of calm. You have been there before, you know what you need to do, generally speaking.
There is also this uncertainty, this question of how it is humanly possible to love another child as much as the ones you have. How is there that much love inside you to give and share?
Here’s the thing, there is! You just grow it, right along side your baby.
