As a Family Photographer the family memories are so important.    Yet, just like a builder’s house is never finished, a photographer’s family is never photographed either.  Well, I always start the year off trying to change that and then life and work take over and that’s the end of that idea.  Who knows, maybe this year, will be different!

I had a spare  half hour and grabbed the boys and my camera and went to test out a new spot I’ve been looking at.  There was no time for styling, just my boys in their normal Saturday afternoon clothing.  All dependent on which football team we are following at the time or who has just played.

The location is stunning – such a beautiful big old tree, we stayed the full half hour and just had a play around in the light.  I enjoyed this gorgeous afternoon so much, I can’t wait to come back and spend some time with a lovely family here.

I simply love this image – nothing overly remarkable about it – just my boys, running along together having a laugh.  But this is what these days are about, I could think of nothing better to capture of them than that.

Then they sat on a log and Riley started reliving one of his glory moves from his football game this afternoon.  The conversations are hilarious but the body language shows just how incredible their relationship really is.  Harry looks up to him so much, and I love how this image shows their friendship at its best.

I could keep going as the number of images we captured in a 1/2 hour and what they say about these two boys is amazing.  The truth is, there are so many sides to brothers and their relationships and there are so many different ways to capture it – I’m just glad I took the time to capture theirs, they’ll now get to keep this forever.
