Family Portraits!
My favourite thing to photograph. Why, families people ask. Why not I say,
Family is our everything.
Families laugh together,
they cry together,
they relax together,
they grow together.
They are our everything and all that it entails.
They are the place we want to simultaneously run from and run toward,
and at times in equal measure.
Family is the last thing we say goodnight to,
and the first thing we greet in the morning.
And when they aren’t there, they leave a hole, a hole that cannot
be filled by another, a hole that cannot be explained or described,
a deficit that cannot be quantified.
Life is all about family, and family, is what life is all about.
