The year is in full swing, and although we have had a wet start there are some beautiful summer days left to be enjoyed in the outdoors.

Take advantage of the beautiful days with a Mid-week mini session. Perfect if you’d like to capture your children at a particular age or milestone, but aren’t really looking for a full session, or perhaps you are looking for the ideal Birthday gift or for Valentine’s Day. Or perhaps, its just because you want to, whatever the reason there is no time like the present.

Mini session’s are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at locations on the West side of Brisbane. They take approximately 30 minutes and are valid for up to 3 people (or animals or a combination of both).

2 8X10 inch prints,
3 5X7 inch prints.
Set of 4 wallets (1 image for all wallets)

Laughter and Love, Family Photographer, Brisbane

Well behind on blogging again, now that school is back in I thought I’d put some energy into it, and what a way to start 2012 than with this lovely family.

Never before have I laughed so much with a family before, it was infectious. I’m not sure whether knowing them all in advanced helped or not, but all the girls had a fair bit of work getting the men to relax and go with it, and they did their job superbly. The laughter and the love in the images that we created were a credit to them all.

I’ve been excited to share these for a while, as I just adore the whole session, so here is just a sample.

I’m madly processing at the moment trying to get on top of things before the silly season, but I wanted to share one from this recent newborn session so his lovely family can have a look at one of the shots from our session, I just love his little smirk, so cute.

This lovely little guy slept, and slept, and slept. He was amazing.

To the lovely C family, I’ll have them ready really soon, there are so many to look at.

Beautiful baby boy. He was such a treasure to photograph. These are just a random selection of my favourites I picked out today, but each day my favourite image changes from this session. They are all in black and white, as that is mum’s preference, but I love that too. I quite like seeing all black and whites or all colour.

My new favourite mother/baby image, his little stare is so intense.

Big brother was watching every move I made, although he was trying to do so from my lap. Such a cuddly dog.

I just adore that moment when they have been asleep and then they wake up and see you. So peaceful.

This session has been booked, and rescheduled, and booked again so many times due to our not so lovely weather of late. Finally it has happened, and I must say I’m so glad we waited. I have photographed this family 3 years in a row and to see the changes in the children is just amazing. Each one has a personality which you are just drawn to, you want to know more about who they are going to be.

Such a privilege to be able to capture them like this and get another peek into their being.

I’m so far behind in my blog.

The pre Christmas busy season is upon us, such an exciting time of year seeing some repeat clients and some new ones as well all in time for Christmas.

This was my favourite two from a recent maternity session I did. It was hard to narrow it down to two, but I just adored her wrap, the mum to be was a jeans girl and the wrap went perfectly.

Will post the newborn to follow, he is such a beautiful little boy.

I don’t get a chance to photograph my own children much. I’ve worked hard lately on changing that as much as I can. So I’ve been taking the camera out as much as I can, to make sure I don’t miss these days. They grow up so fast.

Over the holidays we did loads of bush walks close to home, and on this particular day I convinced my girl to wear her favourite dress (not hard to do). We found this little location and it was magic.

Of course, many walks end at the ice cream shop, hence her little drawstring purse.

Family Fun, Children Photographer Brisbane

Last weekend we took the family out on a walk locally. I of course took my camera, and found some lovely spots close by. I simply love Brisbane this time of year, the light is beautiful, almost like the northern hemisphere in summer. I just wish we could get the afternoon light for longer, its just so lovely to photograph in. My sister calls our clan the Crazy Coulson’s and she is right, our lot are a little crazy, particularly the one in the middle, that should have been his middle name. But, being crazy isn’t so bad, it makes for some good laughs.

Here is a rare not so crazy moment.

Standard, “mummy I’m being cute, can’t you tell?”

You’ll note I used Queensland in general in the title! These were taken on my recent trip to FNQ (along with many others I’ll share later. However I was keen to get these up for the family to see.

Hope you like them D! She was a breeze to photograph even in the full morning sun!
